Expanding the Pool - Attracting Female Talent to STEM Education
The global scarcity of talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) industries is a serious challenge. At the same time, approximately 80% of the tech workforce is male. If more women were attracted to working in tech, the talent pool would widen and approaches and solutions to problems would likely be more diverse. Widening the pool begins not only with looking at recruitment but also at educational institutions.
At this Meetup at we look into the challenges of making STEM education and careers more attractive to women. We invite young people, educational institutions, tech start-ups, researchers, and everyone else to join us for this highly needed discussion!
