More about ATV Technology Leader Network

Intro

The new network is a platform for its members to share their experiences, knowledge, and ideas across universities, companies, and organizations. The network meetings will be confidential and act as an informal space for dialogue, talks, and experiences, with the purpose of inspiring and strengthening the individual members’ personal leadership skills and competences.

80 % OF ATV’S MEMBERS HAVE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

TEKST

Across industry and academia, technology development is becoming more and more specialized. It requires deep STEM knowledge and expertise to work and innovate with transformative technologies such as artificial intelligence, biosolutions, IoT, new materials, CRISPR etc. At the same time, individuals and teams need to coordinate and collaborate across domains of expertise, competences, and organizations. Adding to the complexity, many employees are extremely committed and dedicated to work in areas and ways that have impact and pushes companies, research, consumers, and society in new directions.

80% of ATV’s members have management responsibility. Some members lead smaller technology teams. Others have C-level responsibilities. They lead, manage, and collaborate with passionate individuals who have deep technical expertise. Together, they bring fundamentally new ideas from research to commercialization.

As such, ATV’s members are uniquely positioned to share experiences and challenges related to management of technological/scientific innovation. This includes handling the people and organizations involved and covers aspects such as diversity and inclusion, conflict mitigation, as well as change management.

The aim of the new Technology Leader Network is to discuss and share experiences along these lines. Ultimately, the network aims to develop a set of management principles that have proved efficient and useful across disciplines and can be communicated more broadly across technology development organizations.
